A silk scarf is a girl’s best friend because, first of all, it is versatile for all four seasons and keeps us warm (sometimes) and pretty (most of the time) in different weathers. Secondly, we can use it to accessorize with different items such as the bags.

Interesting History
Silk scarves have a rich and long-stretching history that fascinates many. Can you believe that they were firstly worn by warriors and soldiers? All about practicality and ranks but nothing to do with all its modern glamour there…
There were discoveries that ancient Chinese soldiers wore silk scarves around their necks as a designation of ranks. Silk-scarf wearers held higher ranks than ordinary warriors who wore cotton scarves.
In ancient Egypt, again, silk scarves were used to indicate social status and authority. In the Roman Empire, they were preferred by people with higher social standing, worn around the necks or the waists (fashionable, isn’t it :-))
It seems that in ancient times, silk, as a valuable material, was widely used around the globe in ancient times as a signification of privilege and higher class.
During World War two, pilots wore a silk scarf to keep smoke out of their mouths from the exhaust. Many girls are still after the cool pilot look nowadays.

She was great at accessorizing. Silk scarves were so often used in her clothing, either flowing on the neck, or as a beautiful head wrap.
Scarves have added elegance and chic to her style. A little black dress, a crispy white shirt, or a trench coat, when paired with a beautiful silk scarf, becomes unique and special.

She is no doubt the lady in fashion. After starring in Sex and the City, she has been forever linked with the word ‘fashion’. She is very creative when it comes to style. Sarah Jessica Parker is a great user of colors, accessories and mixed fabrics.
SJP tops other celebrities in her ‘manipulation’ of scarves. We have seen her using her scarves to add color to her wardrobe, to mix different patterns, or attach a fun print, a scarf is definitely love-it accessory for her.
Even we don’t have her A-list life style and have to go to our 9-5 day jobs or keep on our toes juggling with kids and housework, we can have as much fun with our outfit as SJP, with help from scarves.
